From Black & White to 4K: The Pennine Plus Journey Through the Decades

At Pennine Plus, our story is rooted deep in the heart of West Yorkshire. Our heritage goes back more than 50 years – long before a 1981 press cutting first documented our growing presence in the local community. Back in those days, many households were still tuning into their favourite programmes on black and white televisions, and the concept of a smart home was something out of science fiction.

Our original shops were much more than retail spaces – they were community hubs, offering the latest in-home entertainment and electrical appliances. Whether it was a VHS player, a radio, or a colour television (which felt cutting-edge at the time!), Pennine Plus was the place to go for technology that brought people together.

As times changed, so did we. Over the decades, we’ve embraced every wave of innovation – moving from cathode-ray tube TVs to ultra-slim 4K screens, from cassette players to voice-controlled smart systems. But while the products have evolved, our values have stayed the same.

Today, you can find us proudly serving customers from our modern locations on Cavendish Street in Keighley and Kirkgate in Otley. We’re still here to help you make sense of the latest technology – offering broadband to rural areas, trusted advice, quality products, and service with a smile.

Whether you’re upgrading your home entertainment setup, fitting out a new kitchen, or just looking for everyday essentials, Pennine Plus remains your local expert – powered by decades of experience and a genuine commitment to our community.

Here’s to the next 50 years of innovation, service, and connection!
